And NPR no less.....

So, there is this radio station called NPR and my grandpa listens to it alot.It is generally a good station (for a news station)I had the radio on a couple of days ago, and I heard them interviewing a guy about wolves.Today a minute ago,I read about the same conversation on a blog (howlingforjustice, see blogs I like)I remember the interviewer saying something about wolves as trophies,I don't remember the exact words(if you want a more detailed account go to howling for justice)but it went something like this

dude being interviewed(I'm so specific :P):blah blah blah hunting blah

NPR lady:So...hunters blah....would say blah blah I want this wolf for my trophy

Me: you don't need a TROPHY for goodness sakes!how would you feel if people hunted you so they could have you as a trophy!!

so,yeah.I have a horrible memory so that is all I remember.Sorry bout that.It is amazing how many people in the U.S don't know about this.They know about the panda,and the tiger,and that's all good but they should fight for the wolf as well,they live right outside your door!(depending on which part of the states you live in)

Lakota Wolf Preserve

Hey everyone!I went to the Lakota wolf preserve today and it was really cool!I got to see wolves,hear them howl,and learn bunch about them(some of the stuff I knew already).I also got to see some bobcats and two foxes! they were both red foxes,but one had a black coat!His name was Tonka and the other one was Sierra.They were both really cute and hyper.A wolf I had really wanted to see(because I had sponsored her earlier)I didn't get to see very well because she was far away but other than that it was great!I might post some drawings soon of her or random stuff i don't know yet. :)

Wolf pups

Okay,after this I won't post anything sad for a while.This is really sad,it breaks my heart.Wildlife services agents,using our tax payer dollars,track wolves (and their pups) down to their dens and asphyxiate them using poisonous gas and maybe even burn them.How could anything deserve that??Comment below.

HELP STOP OF TORTURING OF WOLVES

I have a new widget on my blog it is a link to sign a pention saying you want to stop the torturing of wolves..I just signed a petiton saying i want to STOP the torturing of wolves.I really hope you sign it as well.It says you can share it with your facebook friends,email contacts,and on your blog.I put it on this.I can't believe how that guy in the picture, a federal employee, can stand there while that wolf dies a slow and horrendous death.and smile about it.our taxes go towards helping HIM torture innocent wolves.I really hope you sign that petiton and stop the disgusting practice of  torturing of wolves.

PLEASE READ: WOLVES URGENTLEY NEED OUR HELP

In Montana,There is now a BOUNTY for killing wolves!100 dollars per wolf!Including pregnant wolves and cubs.How can you kill a life that hasn't even really begun?or kill something so young and fresh and happily blissful?How can you put a bounty on a life?how?I don't know how these heartless people can live with themselves.

Wolves in Grave Danger

I was reading a blog called 'Howling for Justice" and it was about wolves and the horrible way humans are treating them.One post was a memorial for the 540 wolves who have been killed.One of the comments said there should be more memorials for the helpless wolves that were murdered be humans.So here it is.On the blog, there was a picture of a year old wolf that had been killed.

I hope you look at this site and help the wolves somehow.I am going to donate to an orginization that is focusing on wolves in honor of all those murdered wolves.

Wolves (about time)

 It is about time I wrote about wolves 


I love wolves (well,duh). They are really awesome animals with an undeserved bad reputation. Did you know that the Eskimos respected wolves? But most others thought that the wolves howl was creepy and eerie. Seeing  their big teeth and sharp claws also scared people .Many stories were made with wolves as the bad guy. The things is ,wolves avoid humans at all costs! Plus, dogs evolve from wolves so why are we so scared of them???When people came from Europe to North America they killed tons of buffalo, deer, and elk which are prey of the wolves so wolves ate farmers cattle and sheep .So then there became bounties for wolves !You could get money for killing them! Now there are only 5000 Gray wolves in the USA. There are 100 red wolves in the USA. Now people are hunting wolves again.400 wolves, almost half of Idaho’s population were killed. Some Organizations like Defenders of Wildlife, are working to save the wolf by putting trackers on wolves so farmers know when they are near, putting things that deter wolves near cattle, buying guard dogs and range riders to protect the cattle, and providing farmers with food to feed their cattle so they stay farther away from wolves. Recently there has been an anti-wolf proposal created by wolf haters in Wyoming that says people can kill wolves on site including pregnant females and cubs! I can’t believe U.S. fish and wildlife directors have given in to this outrageous act.
